The Drow Houses

� These are the eight ruling houses of Menzobberranzan, since I do not know the Matron Mother of every house I only listed the ones that I know or could find. Thanks :)



The first house is currently ruled by Matron Triel Baerne. Its ranks include twenty high priestesses and the Archmage of Menzoberranzan. The House Baerne has ruled this powerful Drow city since its founding, well over two thousand years ago.

The House of Del'Armiingodo is known for its strong telepaths and nearly bringing down the House Baerne in the Time of the Avatars series in the Forgotton Realms. Ever since its failure to defeat the first house the second house has been fairly quiet.


The third house was annihilated in the Time of the Avatars and I have yet to find out which house replaced them.



The fourth house is that of the Hun'etts, ruled by the dainty and vindictive Matron SifNay. The fourth house was defeated by House Do'Urden during their own little personal war.



I have not the slightest clue what the names of these houses are, their given powers, or their Matron Mothers. Sorry.


The eighth house is that of Daermon N'a'shezbaernon, or more commonly known as House Do'Urden (a lot easier to pronounce). Do'Urden has to be the most well known of all the Drow houses. Amongst their ranks is the invincible Drizzt, master of the scimatars and ranger of the Night Above. I could go into a lot more about this house but that involves a very interesting series of books which I'll let you read on your own. (Don't you just want to kill me now :) ).
